Guest speaker to host fundraising workshop

HUNTINGTON -- The United Way of the River Cities is bringing Susan Howlett to Huntington for a workshop on focusing fundraising efforts for organizations.

"Susan's practical solutions to recurring problems faced by boards and staff have earned acclaim among grassroots organizations, major institutions, grantors and businesses alike," Monica Donohoe, event coordinator, said in a press release.

The workshop will offer simple, low-cost solutions that are easy to implement with the resources you have on hand. It is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Harless Auditorium in the Marshall University Medical Center on the campus of Cabell Huntington Hospital.
