HUNTINGTON -- Valley Health recently announced extended operating hours for the After Hours Care service it provides community members at its Huntington health center.
Patients with minor illnesses or injuries can now visit Valley Health in Huntington's After Hours Care without an appointment, Monday through Friday from 5 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.
"The physicians who treat patients during After Hours Care are trained in a wide range of specialties, including pediatrics and OB/GYN, so patients can rest assured that they are receiving exceptional care from qualified providers," said Steve Shattls, chief executive officer of Valley Health, in a press release.
Patients of all ages can receive treatment for conditions such as flu, colds, respiratory infection and injuries in need of sutures at After Hours Care. Individuals are seen on a first come, first served basis, so it is recommended that patients are present 45 minutes before doors close each evening.
In addition to After Hours Care, Valley Health -- Huntington provides family medicine, pediatric care, internal medicine, OB/GYN and X-ray service Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
